For the ones who are planning marriage abroad, it is important to know that not all countries issue official documents. In some states you can have only symbolic ceremony, and in someone – official. Documents issued in that way of ceremony will be available in Lithuania.
Depending on selected country and type of ceremony, marriage abroad generally sought to have the following documents:
Valid passport (passport must be valid for at least 6 months after the last date of return);
State issued certificate of birth;
Documents, confirming the legal name change or legal adoption (if needed);
Legally approved divorce final confirmation (if you had a previous marriage);
Visa (depending on the country you are going to).
